Weerarada Gubashada iyo Dhaawaca Bulshada
Bishii Oktoobar 2024, dhallinyaradu waxay gubeen xarun dhaqameed bulsho ee magaalada Altdöbern ee Brandenburg, baahiyaha magaalooyinka 2,300 qof, iyagoo u malaynayay inay tahay goob falaqsiyaan. Dabku wuxuu gubay dhismaha oo dhan, khasaareyna gaaray dhowr boqol kun oo Yuuro.
Duqa Altdöbern Peter Winzer oo SPD ah wuxuu DLF u sheegay:'An absolute catastrophe. Because it was a community hub — a place for culture and gatherings. Every local event took place there.'. Janaayo 2025, labo eedaysane ayaa isku dayay inay gubaan hoy muhaajiriin ee Schmölln, waxayna qoreen swastika iyo 'foreigners out'.

Wasiiraha Arrimaha Gudaha ee Brandenburg Jan Redmann (CDU) wuxuu DLF u sheegay inay ka welwelsan yihiin sida dhallinyaradu u xagjiraan: 'We are also observing some surprising continuities — specifically, that the young perpetrators have relatives who had already come to the authorities' attention as right-wing extremists back in the 1990s — the era of the so-called baseball bat years.'.
Dhowr maalmood ka dib xiliga maxkamadda, xeer-ileeyda federaalku waxay qaadeen raido ay 10 tuhmanayaal ku jiraan, iyagoo June dhamaadkana labo dhallinyaro ah ee Thuringia la qabtay. Guud ahaan kooxdu waxay leedahay xubno 'mid-double-digit range' ah oo Jarmalka ka dhex jira.
A Hamburg court has sentenced seven members and one supporter of the far-right 'Last Wave of Defense' group to youth prison terms of up to five years for arson, attempted murder and membership in a terrorist organization.
Verdict and Sentencing
The Hamburg Higher Regional Court convicted the defendants on Wednesday, with sentences ranging from one and a half to five years under juvenile criminal law. The youngest offender received a suspended sentence of one and a half years.
The judge noted that the group's name reflected a deeply racist and violent mindset, quoting their own pamphlets: 'We are the wave that washes the filth out of our country.' The youths were aged between 14 and 21 at the time of the crimes.
Destructive Attacks Across Eastern Germany
Investigators say the group mistakenly targeted a community cultural center in Altdöbern, Brandenburg, in October 2024, believing it was a left-wing meeting place. The building burned to the ground, causing damage worth several hundred thousand euros.
Two accused also attempted to set fire to refugee accommodation in Schmölln, Thuringia, in January 2025, and scrawled swastikas and 'foreigners out' slogans on the facade. Three members had planned an arson attack on a shelter in Senftenberg.
Wider Investigation and Historical Parallels
Brandenburg Interior Minister Jan Redmann expressed alarm at how quickly young people radicalize online, noting that some perpetrators have relatives who were right-wing extremists in the 1990s 'baseball bat years.'
Federal prosecutors launched raids across six states targeting 10 additional suspects, and two more youths were arrested in Thuringia in late June. Authorities estimate the group has a membership in the mid-double-digit range across Germany.
