Shirkadda FromSoftware waxay ku guuleysatay inay sameyso ciyaar kale oo ka duwan kuwii hore
Shirkadda FromSoftware, oo ka mid ah shirkadaha ugu caansan adduunka ee sameynta ciyaaraha, waxay soo saartay ciyaar cusub oo loo yaqaan The Duskbloods, taas oo ah mid ka tirsan kuwa ugu horreeya ee loo diyaariyay Switch 2.
Taariikhda shirkadda iyo guusha Elden Ring
Shirkadda FromSoftware waxay bilaabatay 1994-kii markii ay soo saartay ciyaar loo yaqaannay King's Field, balse guul weyn ayay ka gaartay 2009-kii markii ay soo saartay Demon's Souls, taas oo ah mid ka mid ah ciyaaraha ugu caansan adduunka.
Ciyaaraha ka horreeyay, sida Dark Souls iyo Sekiro, waxay sidoo kale ka dhigeen shirkadda mid ka mid ah kuwa ugu caansan adduunka, iyadoo Elden Ring oo 2022-kii soo baxay ay ka baxday 30 milyan oo nusqab ah.
The Duskbloods: Ciyaar cusub oo ka duwan kuwii hore
The Duskbloods waa ciyaar isku-dhafka ah oo ay ku jiraan 8 qof oo isku mar ku dagaalamaya, iyadoo ay ku jiraan xayawaanno iyo ciyaartoy kale, taas oo ah mid ka duwan kuwii hore ee shirkaddu sameysay.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, oo ah madaxweynaha shirkadda, wuxuu yiri: 'Waxaan rabnaa in ciyaartoy badan ay ku farxaan ciyaarahaaga, mana ahan inay noqoto mid kaliya isku-dhafka ciyaartoyda.'
Iskaashiga Nintendo iyo horumarinta ciyaarta
Nintendo waxay si weyn u taageertay shirkadda FromSoftware, gaar ahaan marka loo eego inay u ogolaatay inay ciyaarta ku dhisto Switch 2, taas oo ka dhigay mid aad u fudud in la ciyaaro.
Miyazaki wuxuu yiri: 'Markii aan maqlay inay jirto Switch 2, waxaan u maleynayay inaan u baahanahay inaan ka shaqeyno, laakiin Switch 2 waxay noo xallisay dhammaan dhibaatooyinka.'
FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki says the massive success of Elden Ring has given the studio the confidence to pursue ambitious new projects, including The Duskbloods, a competitive vampire-themed multiplayer game exclusive to the Switch 2.
A Studio Built on Experimentation
FromSoftware has long been known for its dark, challenging action games, but the studio has consistently pushed beyond its signature style. Its journey began with the dungeon-crawling RPG King's Field in 1994, followed by the cult-hit mech series Armored Core and the 2009 release of Demon's Souls, directed by Miyazaki, which thrust players into a harsh fantasy world where death was constant.
The studio's breakthrough came with Elden Ring, which has sold more than 30 million copies since its 2022 launch. That success spawned a large-scale expansion, a co-op spinoff called Nightreign, and an upcoming film adaptation from A24 and director Alex Garland, cementing FromSoftware's status as a global gaming powerhouse.
The Duskbloods: A New Frontier
The Duskbloods, a competitive multiplayer game set in a vampire world, will be exclusive to the Switch 2 and published by Nintendo when it launches later this year. Development began in 2021 on the first Switch before migrating to the new console, and the game features matches where eight players control vampiric fighters battling monsters and competing with each other.
Miyazaki described the project as challenging, noting that designing the systems and rules required extensive fine-tuning. He praised Nintendo's support in areas like onboarding and tutorials, which FromSoftware historically struggles with, saying, 'The Switch 2 came along and all of those problems were solved.'
Expanding Beyond Soulslike
Miyazaki explained that Elden Ring's success allowed the company to explore ideas that might not have had the confidence for before. He said, 'There are a lot of ideas that we had wanted to try that didn't necessarily fit in that context of a single-player game.' The Duskbloods is designed to appeal to players who might not traditionally be interested in competitive multiplayer.
The game includes indirect ways to compete, such as killing minor enemies for experience or exploring the landscape for items and sidekicks. Miyazaki emphasized, 'We really just want as many players to enjoy our games as possible,' aiming to make the experience accessible even if players are not winning every match.
