Andy Burnham, who rose from mayor of Manchester to lead the United Kingdom in just weeks, is set for a baptism of fire at the UN. He will address the 27-nation General Assembly on Tuesday evening, striking a tone of hope while warning of global instability.
Burnham told reporters he and Trump had found a connection through two phone calls since he took office in July. Trump has described the centre-left leader as a nice man, though he has also labelled him a liberal.
