Baaritaanka Xaqiiqada: Merz oo qaldan ku hadlaya hoos u dhaca magangalyada iyo deynta Jarmalka
Wareysigii ARD ee uu xilalka ka qaaday Ra'iisul Wasaaraha ayaa muujinaya andacayaal qaldan oo ku saabsan tirakoobka iyo sayniska cimilada.
Ra'iisul Wasaaraha Jarmalka Friedrich Merz ayaa wareysigii ARD ku andacooday in tirooyinka magangalyada la dhimay 'in ka badan 60% sanad ka badan'. Laakiin xogta BAMF waxay muujinaysaa hoos u dhac yar oo aan gaadhin heerkaas.
Hoos u dhaca magangalyada oo aan buuxin andacaha
Sida laga soo xigtay Xafiiska Federaalka ee Guuritaanka iyo Qaxootiga (BAMF), wadar ahaan 56,547 codsi magangalyo ayaa la gudbiyay badhtankii 2026, oo ay ku jiraan 39,646 codsi marki-u-horreys. Marka la barbar dhigo isla xilligii sanadkii hore, codsiyadii ugu horreeyay waxay hoos u dhaceen 35.4%.
Codsiyadii ugu horreeyay waxay ka yimaadeen 169,671 badhtankii labaad ee 2025 ilaa 91,546 badhtankii ugu horreeyay ee 2026, hoos u dhac gaaraya 46%. Tiro ahaan, July 2026 waxaa jiray 4,311 codsi, qiyaastii 48% ka yar sannadkii hore.
Deynta iyo darajada amaahda Jarmalka
Merz wuxuu yiri: 'Waxaan weli nahay mid ka mid ah dalalka ugu deyn-yar Yurub. Waxaan weli nahay waddan darajeediisu tahay tan ugu fiican Yurub.' Laakiin saamiga deynta iyo GDP-gu wuxuu ka sarreeyahay 60% ee eurozone-ka.
Jarmalka amaahdeedu waa AAA, la wadaaga Denmark, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden iyo Switzerland. Dastuurka wuxuu 2009 ku daray 'bareej-deyn' 0.35% GDP, wuxuuna hakad galay 2020, 2022 iyo 2025.
CO2-ga baabuurta korontada ku shaqeeya
Merz wuxuu sheegay in 'isku-dheellitirka CO2 ee moobilada korontadu uusan u qurux badanayn sida la sheego'. ICCT waxay qiraysaa in baabuurta korontadu ay 73% ka yareeyaan CO2-ga makiinadaha gubanaya.
Warqad ka timid Jaamacadda Farsamada ee Munich ayaa ku andacootay dhimis 41% ah, laakiin waxay ku dartay falanqayn duug ah oo koronto duug ah si isku mid ah loo miisaamay.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz told ARD that his government cut asylum numbers by more than 60% in just over a year, but official figures show a smaller decline. DW Fact check also found misleading claims about Germany's debt and electric vehicle emissions.
Asylum Numbers Did Not Fall by 60%
Merz stated that asylum applications dropped by over 60% in just over a year, but data from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) shows a more modest decline. In the first half of 2026, there were 56,547 asylum applications, with 39,646 being first-time applications, a 35.4% drop compared to the same period last year.
Initial asylum applications fell from 169,671 in the second half of 2025 to 91,546 in the first half of 2026, a 46% decrease. A decline of nearly 60% occurred only once, in August 2025 versus August 2024, and the downward trend began before Merz took office in May 2025 following the fall of Bashar Assad in December 2024.
Germany's Debt Picture Is More Complex
Merz claimed Germany is one of the least indebted countries in Europe with the best credit rating, but the country's debt-to-GDP ratio exceeds the 60% eurozone limit, placing it in the middle of the bloc. Its net borrowing sits at 2.7%, just below the 3% threshold, and it shares the AAA credit rating with seven other nations.
Germany's constitution was amended in 2009 to introduce a 'debt brake' requiring deficits to stay at 0.35% of GDP. This rule was suspended in 2020 for the pandemic and again in 2022 and 2025 to fund increased defense spending, complicating the picture of fiscal discipline.
Electric Vehicle Emissions Are More Nuanced
Merz suggested that the CO2 balance of electric mobility is not as positive as often portrayed, citing a Technical University of Munich paper that found electric vehicles reduce emissions by only 41%. However, the International Council on Clean Transportation reports that battery electric vehicles produce 73% fewer emissions than internal combustion engines on average.
The TUM study included older analyses with outdated electricity mixes, giving them equal weight, while the ICCT uses more current estimates. Battery electric vehicles do generate about 40% higher production emissions due to battery manufacturing, but these are typically offset after one or two years of driving.
