Elliott, who has scored 15 goals in 149 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, is under contract at Anfield until 2028. He joined the Reds from Fulham at the age of 16 in 2019 and previously spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
This marks the second consecutive season Elliott has been loaned out by Liverpool, having spent last season at Aston Villa. The transfer obligation for a permanent move is set at £35 million ($41m), but Valencia have no option or obligation to trigger it. Elliott returned to Liverpool for pre-season this summer and featured during their tour of the United States, but was left out of the matchday squads for the opening two Premier League games against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest under new head coach Andoni Iraola.
