Greens-ka Oo Xariiq Adag Ka Dhigay Dhiirigelinta Khamaarka Ka Hor Doodda Baarlamaanka
Xisbiga Greens-ka ayaa caddeeyay in aysan taageeri doonin sharciga khamaarka ee dowladda sida uu hadda yahay. Dowladduna waxay sheegtay in ay diyaar u tahay 'wax-ka-qabasho caqli-gal ah' ka hor doodda siyaasadeed ee baarlamaanka.
Mowqifka Greens-ka iyo Dhiirigelinta Khamaarka
Afaysane Sarah Hanson-Young oo ka hadashay dhiirigelinta khamaarka ayaa sheegtay in dalabyada lacag-dsoorashada marka faraska uu kaalmeeyo labaad ay 'absolutely need to go' yihiin. Waxay ku eedeysay dowladda in ay 'playing games' ciyaarayso, iyadoo ku boorinaysa in ay u istaagto dadka u nugul.
Senator-ka ayaa sheegtay 'I'm not prepared to vote for what's on the table at the moment'. Mowqifkani wuxuu la jaanqaadayaa warbixintii baarlamaanka ee Peta Murphy ee la soo saaray Juun 2023, taas oo dalacday baabi'inta dhiirigelinta.
Shirkadaha waaweyn ayaa diiday eedeymaha.
Qorshaha dowladda ee xannibaadda xayeysiinta ee qaybeed ayaa helay dhaleeceyn baahsan, maadaama uu ka soo horjeedo taladii Murphy ee xannibaad buuxda. Hanson-Young wuxuu yiri 'It's really clear, partial bans do not work'.
Doodda Dowladda iyo Mowqifka Coalition-ka
Wasiiradda NDIS Jenny McAllister ayaa difaacday dib-u-habaynta dowladda, iyadoo ku doodaysay 'we're trying to get a good balance'. Waxay sheegtay in sharcigu si ballaaran u saxsan yahay laakiin ay 'open to sensible amendments' yihiin.
Coalition-ka ayaa ka hadashay xannibaad adag, iyadoo Shadow Minister Sarah Henderson ay sheegtay in aysan taageeri doonin biilka Labour-ka ee aan isbeddel la'a, la'aanteedna aysan shaacin dalabkooda. Wasiiradda Anika Wells ayaa hore u sheegtay sugitaanka wax-ka-qabashada.
The Greens have declared they will not support Australia's gambling legislation in its current form, drawing a firm line on betting perks and inducements ahead of a political showdown when parliament returns this week.
Greens Draw Firm Line on Betting Perks
Greens communication spokesperson Sarah Hanson-Young said promotions in which punters get their money back if their horse comes second rather than winning, 'absolutely' need to go. 'Give me a freaking break,' she told ABC's Insiders this morning.
I think they use every trick in the book to promote and it's a real predatory nature, whether it's special deals, whether it's extra credits, whether it's favours to events. Inducements need to be off the table.
Government Says It Is Open to Sensible Changes
NDIS Minister Jenny McAllister defended the government's reforms, arguing 'we're trying to get a good balance'. She said Labor had got it 'broadly right' but was 'open to sensible amendments' as negotiations with the Coalition and crossbench continue.
Communications Minister Anika Wells has previously stated the government was waiting to see formal amendments from the Coalition and Greens before locking in debate around the legislation.
Partial Ad Ban Draws Widespread Criticism
Labor's plan to combat harms from gambling, which costs Australians $32 billion in losses each year, includes a partial advertisement ban. It would restrict gambling ads on TV to three per hour between 6am and 8:30pm, on radio during school pick-up and drop-off, as well as ban logos on sports players' jerseys or in stadiums.
The partial ad ban, going against Murphy's recommendation of a phased, total ban, has drawn widespread criticism. 'It's really clear, partial bans do not work,' Senator Hanson-Young said. 'In the absence of not tackling online advertising where it's the most insidious … this whole thing is set up to fail. We need proper bans on online advertising.'
