Beeralayda Koonfurta Australia Oo Ka Codsanaya Roobka Cusub Ka dib Abaarta Daba-dheer
Beeralayda qamadiga ee Koonfurta Australia ayaa maraya xilligan cimilada ugu fiican ee noloshooda ka dib sanado abaar ah. Qaybo ka mid ah beeralaydu waxay heleen in ka badan labanlaab roobkii sanadihii 2024 iyo 2025, taasoo rajo weyn abuurtay.
Roob Xad-dhaaf ah oo ku Burburiyay Tirooyinkii Hore
Xeer-ilaaliyayaasha gobolka Eyre Peninsula ayaa qaybo ka mid ah beeralaydu helay roob ku dhow intii saddex-laabmay tii sanadkii hore. Dion Williams oo beeralay ah Streaky Bay ayaa sanadkan 2026 helay in kabadan 400mm roob, wuxuuna yiri roobku wuxuu noqon karaa "once-in-a-lifetime year".
Chris Lymn oo beertiisu tahay Wudinna ayaa helay in kabadan 400mm roob sanadkan 2026. Wuxuuna sheegay "never before — haven't seen before in my time". Miles Tomney oo Cungena ah wuxuu helay 138mm dhamaadkii Febraayo, wuxuuna hadda gaadhay 450mm.
Isbeddel Weyn oo ku Yimid Beeraha Riverland
Deegaanka Riverland ee Koonfurta Australia ayaa la kulmay isbeddel la yaab leh, iyadoo laga tagay baadiyihii qalalan ee bishaas la midka ah ee sanadkii hore, loona rogay beeraha canola iyo lentil ee caafimaad qaba. Tim Paschke oo Waikerie ah wuxuu helay 30mm roob usbuucii la soo dhaafay.
Paschke wuxuu ku tilmaamay roobka "a real blessing" iyo "one of the best August rains we can remember for such a long time". Beeralaydu waxay qireen in fursada dalag weyn "massive" tahay.
Dhaxanka Agronomist-ka iyo Khatarta Qabowga
Jake Hull oo ah agronomist ayaa aaminsan in qaybo ka mid ah dalagga qamadiga ay labanlaabmi karaan celceliska wax-soo-saarka sanadkan. Si kastaba ha ahaatee, wuxuu ka digay in xilligu uusan dhammaan oo qabowgu uu wali khatar tahay.
In kasta oo ay jirto kalsooni sare, beeralaydu wali waxay wajaheenaa khasaare suurtagal ah oo ka iman kara qabowga toddobaadaha soo socda. Laakiin guud ahaan, xaaladdu waa mid roon tahay marka loo eego sanadihii abaarta ahaa.
South Australian grain farmers are reporting some of the best growing conditions in their lifetimes, with several properties receiving more than double their total rainfall for 2024 and 2025 after years of devastating drought.
Record Rainfall Across the State
On parts of the Eyre Peninsula, some farmers have almost tripled last year's rainfall, with Streaky Bay grower Dion Williams recording more than 400mm in 2026 alone. Williams, who has farmed for 28 years, described the amount as staggering and said he feels this could be a once-in-a-lifetime year for his family farm.
Chris Lymn's farm at Wudinna also received more than 400mm of rain this year, where he grows lentils and barley. Lymn said he has never before seen such an amount in his time, adding that the early break and perfect conditions mean crops are growing as early as farmers would like.
Remarkable Turnaround in Riverland District
The Riverland district has experienced a remarkable turnaround from bare, dusty paddocks to healthy canola and lentil crops. Waikerie grower Tim Paschke received more than 30mm of rain in the past week, which he described as a real blessing and one of the best August rains they can remember for such a long time.
Cungena farmer Miles Tomney received an early break of 138mm in late February and has since accumulated more than 450mm of rain to date. Tomney said the rainfall might be one out of the box they might not ever see again, and confidence is up across the state.
Bumper Harvest Potential Amid Caution
Agronomist Jake Hull believes some wheat crops could more than double the average yield this year, describing the potential as massive. However, he cautioned that the season was not over yet and frost remains a risk during the next several weeks of the growing season.
Farmers say the potential for a big South Australian grain crop is massive after the past two dry years pushed many growers to the wall. While there are still several weeks left of the growing season, the recent rainfall has raised optimism to new heights.
