Casho-qado dib loo dhigay oo xafiiska wargeysyada White House ah lagu qabto July 24-keeda
Ka dib markii uu hub u qaaday Cole Tomas Allen bishii April, casho-qadadii xafiiska wargeysyada White House ee 2026 la joojiyay ayaa dib loo qorsheeyay. Munaasabadda cusub waxay noqon doontaa July 24, 2026, iyadoo ammaan la xoojiyay laga sameeyay goob kale.
Goorta iyo halka laga qabanayo
Casho-qadada dib loo qorsheeyay waxay noqon doontaa Jimci, July 24, 2026. Albaabada waa la furi doonaa 6pm oo waqti deegaanka ah (22:00 GMT) halka casho-qadaduna bilaabaneyso 7pm (23:00 GMT).
Munaasabadda waxaa loo raray Waldorf Astoria ee Washington, DC, oo hore loogu yiqiin Trump International Hotel. Trump Organization waxay iibisay xuquuqda kiraysiga 2022.
Ammaan iyo isbeddel goobta
Qolka ballroom-ka ee Waldorf Astoria wuxuu qaadaa qiyaastii 1,000 qof oo kaliya, marka loo eego 2,500 oo la sheegay inay ka qayb galeen Hilton. Tani waxay yareynaysaa culayska ammaanka.
Lamaaneyaasha kaliya ee la gali karo waa hal albaab oo ammaanka lagu maareeyo shirkad gaar ah iyo Secret Service, iyadoo la isticmaalayo magnetometers. Albaabada kale waa la xiri doonaa, dadka ka qaybgalayaana laga digay waqti dheeraad ah.
Diidmo iyo go'aan dib-u-dhig
Weijia Jiang, guddoomiyaha WHCA, wuxuu yiri ururku 'ma u oggolaan doono ficil rabshado ah inuu yeesho erayga u dambeeya'. Trump wuxuu ku andacooday in Maraykanku 'aanu u oggolaan karin Lunatics inay nolosheena beddelaan'.
Labadaba Jiang iyo Trump waxay carrabbeeen in dib-u-qorsheynta ay muujinayso diidmo lagu mariyo rabshadaha siyaasadeed. WHCA waxay bishii June hore xaqiijisay taariikhda July 24.
Rescheduled gala moves to Waldorf Astoria with tighter security and reduced capacity
The White House Correspondents' Dinner will be held again on Friday, July 24, 2026, after a gunman disrupted the original April event at the Washington Hilton. The rescheduled gala moves to the Waldorf Astoria with stricter security and fewer attendees.
April attack forced postponement
The original 2026 dinner was disrupted and ended early when Cole Tomas Allen stormed the Washington Hilton armed with guns and knives. He raced through a security checkpoint, shooting a Secret Service officer and allegedly attempting to assassinate President Trump, who was in attendance.
The injured Secret Service officer survived. After the April incident, Trump almost immediately said the dinner would be rescheduled, and the WHCA confirmed in early June it would take place on July 24. Both sides cited defiance of political violence as the reason.
New venue and security measures
The event will be held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, DC, formerly the Trump International Hotel; the Trump Organization sold leasing rights in 2022. Its ballroom holds about 1,000 people, down from 2,500 at the Hilton, easing security burdens.
Access is limited to a single entrance with magnetometers run by a private firm and US Secret Service; all other entrances will be sealed. Attendees should expect extra screening time. Doors open at 6pm local (22:00 GMT), dinner at 7pm (23:00 GMT).
Programming and presidential remarks
According to The Well News, original programming including mentalist Oz Pearlman will be retained, with cocktail receptions prior to the programme. WHCA president Weijia Jiang said the association "will not allow an act of violence to have the last word".
After the attack Trump struck a mild tone, unsure if he could "ever be as rough" as planned. He had been "all set to really rip it" with "the most inappropriate speech ever made" but may change "rather nasty statements" planned for the original venue.
