Wigan Warriors maintained their perfect 2026 record with a commanding performance at the BrewDog Stadium, scoring nine tries to overwhelm St Helens in the opening Super Four fixture. St Helens managed only a single try from Luci McColm just before half-time on a difficult evening, as the visitors were outclassed on home turf. The defending champions struck from their first set when a high kick was spilled by young full-back Liv Leach, who was later carried off the field with an injury.
Super Four Format Explained
The 2026 Women's Super League introduced a new Super Four structure after seven initial rounds where all sides played each other once. The league is now split into a top four and a bottom four, with six rounds of home-and-away fixtures to follow over the next six weekends.
Wigan will face St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and York Valkyrie twice each in the Super Four, with the top-finishing team securing a direct place in the Grand Final. Second and third will contest a play-off, while fourth misses out entirely.
