Taariikhda Kooxda iyo Doodda Duqa Magaalada
Kooxda haweenka ayaa ahayd horyaal-difaacayaasha ka dib guushii 2025 grand final ee dhanka Melbourne Victory. Xilli ciyaareedkii dambe waxay ku dhameysteen kaalinta 7aad, halka kooxda ragga ay ku dhameysteen 9aad. APL ayaa maamulay markii Mike Charlesworth uu shatigii celiyay.

The Holman Barnes Group, majority owner of NRL side Wests Tigers, has agreed to take over the Central Coast Mariners women's A-League squad after the team was excluded from a takeover deal with English club Queen's Park Rangers in June.
Race Against the Clock
HBG chief executive Daniel Paton said it was always a race against the clock to ensure the women's team was part of the upcoming season, which kicks off in October. The A-League imposed a deadline of July 31 for an owner to be found to guarantee a place in the competition.
Mr Paton said the team was going into the takeover without any sponsors at this stage. He said he would reach out to the local community to see how it could get behind the project, because that would be the next challenge.
Stability After a Turbulent Year
The Mariners women were under the management of the Australian Professional League earlier this year when former owner Mike Charlesworth handed back its licence after a failed sale. The club had been left in limbo after being excluded from the QPR takeover deal in June.
The Mariners women finished the season 7th, while the men's team finished 9th. The women had kicked off the season as defending champions after winning the 2025 grand final against Melbourne Victory.
Local Support and Future Pathways
Central Coast Mayor and former Mariners coach Lawrie McKinna said the deal was a great outcome for the Central Coast. He said there had been a lot of noise made by supporters over the possible loss of the local women's team.
Cr McKinna said the Holman Barnes Group was a big sponsor of APIA Leichhardt in the NPL. He said the ladies would survive and be back putting women's football on the map on the Central Coast.
