On July 31, 2026, President Siciid Cabdullaahi Deni officially broke ground on two key government buildings in Garowe, the regional capital of Puntland. The event signalled the administration's commitment to upgrading state infrastructure and improving public service delivery across the region.

The ceremony was held at the site of the new Auditor General's Office, which will replace the region's long-standing administrative arrangements.
